UJA Federation Centre for Enhancement of Jewish Education Noar initiative’s focus is on shoring up the experiential educational field. Its mandate includes youth movements, Jewish camping, program liaison with Canada Israel Experience, outreach to the teenage cohort, management of Toronto’s Israel scholarships, professional development and other experienced-based opportunities.
Primary activities are investment in the professional growth of our youth professionals, development of a dedicated and strategic structure, defining and repositioning of assets, infusion of much needed program grants, program development and resources, new scholarship funds for youth movement summer programs, a “go to” office for assistance and guidance, and a holistic UJA Federation Centre for Enhancement of Jewish Education approach.
The evolving Noar strategy is to increase and enhance the existing assets, programs and initiatives which are capable of being dynamic engines to propel experiential education well beyond its current scope, and to challenge the development of, and strategically invest in, new initiatives which will increase quality, expand quantity (of programs and participants) and generate a vital environment of passionate and committed Jewish teens and experiential educators working in tandem with our formal educational environment.
